Curtis’s deep understanding of Canada’s political arena—spanning municipal to federal jurisdictions—in-the-trenches experience and 20+ years in the Ottawa political environment have made him a sought-after advisor and strategist by business, non-profit and political organizations alike.
From his many years with the Federation of Canadian Municipalities to his work on numerous election campaigns—including his role as a Tour Lead in the 2015 federal election campaign for the Liberal Party of Canada—Curtis has honed his skills as an outstanding events manager and logistics expert. He designed, built and operated the impressive International Media Centre at the 2010 G20 Summit in Toronto; managed the planning of the Liberal Party of Canada’s Biennial Convention in Montreal in 2014, which welcomed 2000+ delegates; and produced debates across the country for the Liberal leadership election process in 2012-2013.

Over the years, Curtis has built and fostered relationships with government staffers, politicians and members of Ottawa’s corporate sector. He was part of the team that successfully delivered the federal gas tax and GST rebate to municipalities. Curtis also has proven experience managing the relationships and corporate goals of multi-level partners, across the country. In addition, his vast network of municipal contacts span Canada.

Curtis holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in in Political Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications, both from Carleton University. He also holds SECRET CSIS security clearance. Curtis is a huge New Orleans Saints and Ottawa Senators fan.
