A bilingual communications and project management specialist, Alexandra (Allie) is a perfect complement and support to Wazuku’s growing Ottawa team.

A talent for change management

Through her experience as a communications coordinator and executive assistant with RBC, Allie distinguished herself with the ability to tease out realistic solutions to puzzling problems and to translate big picture ideas into practical action plans and tactics. She gets results by gently yet persuasively motivating and inspiring peers and stakeholders to embrace innovative projects and approaches.

A born organizer with a passion for politics

As the community team organizer for Liberal MP Harjit Sajjan’s 2015 successful nine-month election campaign, Allie recruited, trained and mobilized more than 200 volunteers. Her responsibilities also included creating and monitoring internal communications plans, managing community event participation and conducting voter outreach. 

Communications and event management foundation

Allie studied Communications at Simon Fraser University and Broadcasting at the British Columbia Institute of Technology. Since graduation, she has focused her work and numerous volunteer activities in communications, project management and event coordination.

Background Check

Allie is a passionate hobby photographer who worked as a camera operator on stage at the opening and closing ceremonies for the Vancouver 2010 Olympics. She loves sipping David’s Tea on the beach and spent time perfecting her French while living and studying in the south of France. Having moonlit as a wedding planner, Allie considers herself something of an expert at dealing with divas.
